Tycoon Damon Blakely had one year to produce a legitimate heir. Luckily he had a bride candidate in mind. Lily Grayson had been the perfect mistress…until she’d left him. And when he proposed his plan, Damon learned why. Lily was already expecting his baby.

The millionaire’s shock and anger was quickly trounced by Lily’s counteroffer. She would give their child his name…but theirs would be a paper marriage. Lily claimed Damon had no room in his heart for anything beyond business. The terms of his proposal left him little room to argue…until he could get Lily back into his bed.

*Connections: Damon's second in charge is Macy Ashley, the heroine of At The Billionaire's Beck & Call?.

Claimed His Bought Bride is a complex, extremely sensual and explosive love story by debut author Rachel Bailey. I’m amazed is all I can say that this is Rachel’s first published romance as it’s so well crafted with two very interesting lovers being Damon and Lily. The steam and heat vibrates from them both is all I’m going to say and they can’t seem to keep away from each other, especially Lily and she fights it every step of the way.-

RT Rating:

CLAIMING HIS BOUGHT BRIDE (4) by Rachel Bailey: Lily Grayson and Damon Blakely were engaged, but she walked away when things didn't work out. Three months later they meet again for a different type of engagement -- a marriage of convenience. Lily gets stability to take care of her grandmother, and Damon gets a suitable wife and mother as he completes his planned revenge against his uncle. There are only two little flaws in the plan: Lily resents taking second place to his obsession, and she's already pregnant with his child. Bailey will have readers sympathizing with Damon's need for revenge and Lily's insistence in coming first in his life.

Damon Blakely is a tycoon used to getting what he wants and when he discovers that he must produce a legitimate heir within a year he has one woman in mind, Lily Grayson, the lover that left him. Only Lily has her own surprise, she’s already pregnant and her own offer, that their marriage will be in name only. Will their marriage work? Or are they both expecting more than is on offer?

With a hero who claims what he wants and a heroine who wants to be more than just an acquisition Claiming His Bought Bride by Rachel Bailey is a tale of compromise and discovering what your heart truly desires. I loved this book and its characters for the way they captivated my attention and held it till the end. Damon is the quintessential tycoon who is used to going after and getting what he wants with the tenacity of a dog with a bone. While Lily also has a will of stone, but she wants a man who will love her and their child without hatred and revenge in his heart. Claiming His Bought Bride is Ms Bailey’s debut book and she has penned a story that tugs at your senses and then delivers a compelling tale of love conquering all.

This is a great book. Lily is a very strong heroine willing to fight for her right to be first in someone's life. Damon's one goal in life to ruin his uncle has blinded him to all other aspects of life. Lily really opens his eyes. I really loved the epilogue.

Damon is EXACTLY the kind of guy I love reading about. He's confident and finds a solution to every problem. Except his feelings for his former lover. I knew he was in love with her after the first few pages of the story, but he didn't realize it until it was almost too late. I could feel his pain, anger, resentment, and need for revenge. Very nicely written story.

4.5 Hearts ~~ She insisted on a paper marriage and bedding her would be unnecessary to produce a child because she was already pregnant. Both characters were great. They didn't let the other push them around.

This seemed like a typical plotline, but it had quite a few interesting twists and turns with Damon's uncle and that storyline. It was a really great read, I liked watching Damon change completely from the beginning of the book to the end.

A first author and a very interesting and convoluted tale of greed and revenge. Lily sure got caught in the middle of a lot of not so nice family stuff. Glad that Damon finally woke up to the truth. Good story and I will look for more from Rachel Bailey.
