Behind the Book

I *love* flowers. All kinds of flowers, but especially lilies. So I thought it’d be fun to name my first Desire heroine after my favourite flower. Yep, her name is Lily.  You’ll also see some lily references in the book—I won’t create spoilers by mentioning them all, but if you have a look at the cover, you’ll see that Lily’s wedding bouquet is made of lily of the valley (thanks to the fabulous art department at Harlequin for their attention to detail and including that in the shot!).

Another passion I wove into this book is for art and galleries. When I was very young, I remember my mother attending art college, after which she taught high school art for many years, and she now works as an artist. It was natural for her to pass on her love and knowledge of art to her children and I grew up visiting galleries and looking critically at artwork—particularly paintings.
